What Do Board and Care Facilities Do?
Board and care houses, commonly referred to as residential care facilities or group homes, are modest private residences that typically house 20 or fewer people. There are shared and private rooms. In addition to receiving meals and personal care, residents also have staff on hand around-the-clock. In most cases, on-site nursing and medical treatment are not offered. At EdenCreation Home Care, we do out source and a Nurse can come to the Residential Home if Medical Services are needed.
Assisted Living: What Is It?
People who require daily care assistance but not as much assistance as a nursing home offers can consider assisted living. The number of inhabitants in assisted living facilities might range from 25 to 120 or more. There are typically just a few "levels of care" available, with higher levels of care costing residents more.
Residents at assisted living facilities typically possess their own apartments or rooms and a communal space. Numerous services are available to them, such as up to three meals per day, help with personal care, assistance with medications, help with housekeeping and laundry, round-the-clock monitoring, security, on-site employees, as well as social and recreational events. The specifics differ from state to state.
How Do Nursing Homes Work?
A wide variety of medical and personal care services are offered by nursing homes, often known as skilled nursing facilities. Compared to most assisted living homes, their services place a greater emphasis on medical care. These services often include of nursing care, round-the-clock supervision, three meals per day, and help with daily tasks. There are additional rehabilitation services offered, including speech, occupational, and physical therapy.
Some patients who are discharged from the hospital spend a brief period of time in a nursing home. After they return home after recovering.
However, because they have chronic physical or mental illnesses that call for daily care and supervision, the majority of nursing home residents dwell there permanently.
At EdenCreation Residential Group Home Care, your family member doesn't have to move into a Nursing Home or any facility. We out source and bring Medical Care professionals to the Home.
As reported last quarter, Arizona saw a decrease in the number of people experiencing homelessness of around 3,000, which is a big improvement when compared to other states across the country but we’re not done yet with about 10,000 who remain without permanent housing.
At the Arizona Department of Housing we strive for continuous improvement by, as Arizona Governor Ducey put it in a Forbes interview (Linked Here): “focus(ing) energy and resources where they matter most.” The Department of Housing began a breakthrough project last September focusing our energy and resources to Rapidly Re-House more people faster.
This breakthrough project is just one of three sponsored by the Department and involves engagement of every level of leadership in the agency, external partnerships, active problem solving sessions and frequent updates on progress.
There have been three major phases of this project starting with one contract for Maricopa County on July 1, 2016, four contracts that span across thirteen counties on October 1, 2016, and the final contracts awarded in Pima County on April 12, 2017, making Rapid-Re Housing a statewide effort.
What is Rapid Re-Housing? In short, it is a focused effort of getting people experiencing homelessness into permanent housing within as close to 30 days as possible
